This is my version of the VISA commercial. Cost of season passes to Valleyfair: $175.00. Cost of food and drink while at the park: $20.00. Being able to see the Ed Alonzo show, Priceless. I cannot express to you enough my thanks for making this past Friday such a special day for my family. In my wildest dreams, I never imagined that you would invite us backstage and give us an “insiders” look at a top-notch magic show. Somehow “thank you” does not seem like enough. To give you an idea of how this show impacted my two boys Zach and Parker here was the rest of my weekend. On Saturday they rigged up the living room to resemble as closely as possible the dancing hank trick. On Sunday they hauled the fan down from their bedroom and rather creatively built a replica of your final illusion where you float across the stage. This was set up in our main floor playroom which is adjacent to our living room. In other words, our main living area was transformed into your stage area. He also was doing a pretty good impression of you wearing his black pants, white shirt, black vest, and Harry Potter glasses.

Despite your best efforts at downplaying your talents, Zach and Parker now understand just how impressive of a magician you are. We spent some time on the Internet over the weekend reviewing some of your awards and recognition and they were very impressed by your stature in the magic community. The toughest thing to explain to them was how someone like yourself can be so very good at what they do and yet be humble. Having you as a role model will do more for teaching my boys about humility and the value of doing good deeds for others than I could have done alone in years. Thank you again for your kindness. We should be back at the park in the next several weeks. If it is okay, we will stop in and say “hi” again.

I had the privilege over this past weekend of seeing you at Knotts’ Halloween Haunt and I was truly amazed. You are by far the funniest and most amazing magician/performer I have ever seen. The ad-libbed one-liner you had said to the audience participant named Caesar was hilarious (you had said you liked him on your salads). Classic! Also, the duck card/straight jacket feat, still has me scratching my head. How in the heck did you do that? Awesome!

I caught your show on Thursday, Oct 20th in the Shultz Theater for the first time ever. I had an opportunity to watch it once, while I was employed at Knott’s but could not because things got crazy out in the Parking Lots. Anyway, I must say your show is Excellent. I totally regret not being able to see it the years before. You and Bob the Duck are Great performers. What made it even better was how you blended Magic with Comedy, and your Dancers WOW!!! I am going to make it a point to go watch your show at Haunt, as long as you are there.

My name is Charles Leonardo. I met you at the Panasonic event in San Antonio. I want to tell you, myself and everyone there really enjoyed your show. I heard many talking about it the next day. I am a part-time professional magician on the East coast. I love magic and have been performing since I was 6 years old and I am still performing at age 41. I never went into magic full-time as I got tied up in family life! When my kids are old enough I may go into it full-time.

Your magic is very entertaining and I love how you add your personality to your routines. You are very creative in an excellent way. I am somewhat like you. My main goal is to entertain the audience, magic is second. A lot of magicians are too technical and lose their audience. Comedy and magic are the best medicine and you are the best at that.
